If you are starting or growing your family reflexology can help to support you on your journey with pre-conceptual, pregnancy (including natural labour) and post-natal care.

Reflexology for Pre-Conceptual Care

Reflexology helps to restore balance to the different systems of the body that are essential to your health and wellbeing, particularly as this may be a time of stress and anxiety for many couples. This helps your body facilitate the best environment to optimise the chances of getting pregnant and support a viable pregnancy.

...and it's not just all down to women at this stage! Pre-conceptual care is just as relevant to men. It is equally important that the father-to-be maximises his chances of producing healthy sperm.

Reflexology During Pregnancy

Pregnancy is a period of huge physical and emotional change. Regular reflexology sessions may help to support the mother-to-be on a holistic level with pregnancy related issues and to bring about a sense of much needed calm and well-being.

Most women start pregnancy reflexology from the second trimester, however, Michelle would be happy to discuss treatment in your first trimester of pregnancy should you wish before making an appointment.

Reflexology may also encourage natural labour . This specialised treatment is recommended from week 37 or once the client is past their due date and ideally when they have had at least two treatments in the two or three weeks prior to term.

Reflexology for Post-Natal Care

Following birth, reflexology can help promote good health and well-being by rebalancing the systems of the body to their natural pre-pregnancy state. It may also aid relaxation, reduce stress or anxiety, improve sleep (when sleep is possible!), balance energies and release muscular tension from picking up and carrying babies. Again, these benefits are not just relevant to mothers but fathers too!

“The treatment was incredibly relaxing; the most relaxed I've felt since having a baby four months ago.” - Kate
