Michelle and reflexology
“I first came across reflexology when I was looking for a holistic therapy that would help with the physiological and emotional effects of stress I was experiencing at the time due to work pressure and two recent bereavements. I have always been drawn to therapies that look at a person as a whole and not just a collection of their symptoms in isolation of their overall health, wellbeing and lifestyle choices and reflexology offered just that.
I liked that reflexology did not make any promises and was not claiming to be the fix or the cure to my problems. I found it to be an incredibly intuitive therapy which gave me a different interpretation of what was going on with my body and mind. For my own personal reasons for having reflexology, it was effective as a stand alone treatment but it also sat nicely alongside other complementary therapies and conventional medicine.
A series of treatments helped to make me feel more calm, balanced and in sync with myself in turn contributing to improved sleep and relieving the effect that stress was having on me. It also offered me invaluable support in a time of flux and an increased sense of wellbeing and ability to cope with life's curve balls.
My own experience with reflexology, coupled with a long standing personal interest in holistic health, inspired me to train as a reflexologist to be able to offer this fantastic treatment to others.”
